Making the internet more useful,
one microtool at a time.

Simple, high-quality online tools for real everyday problems.

What we do

We find small, often overlooked problems and build beautifully simple tools to solve them: fast, accessible and easy to use.

  • Fast. Pages load in a blink and the tool is the first thing you see.
  • Accessible. Keyboard, screen reader and phone friendly, to WCAG 2.2 AA.
  • Clear. Plain words, honest limits, and a useful result before any sign-up.

Our tools

A growing collection of focused web apps, each built to do one thing exceptionally well.

Our philosophy

  • Simplicity over complexity

One job per tool, done well. No setup screens, no settings you have to learn first.

  • Usefulness over novelty

We build for jobs people do every week, and check the output, from barcode sizes to names that fit, before you print.

  • Long-term value over short-lived trends

Evergreen problems, fast pages and fair prices, so a tool is still here when you need it next year.

Questions, answered

What is EMD Tools?
EMD Tools (Evergreen Microtools Development) is an independent product studio. We build small web tools that each solve one everyday job, such as printing UPC labels or making name badges, and run them on their own websites. Today that is UPC Label Generator, Data Matrix Code Generator and Name Badge Creator, with more on the way.
Are the tools free?
Yes. Every tool can be used for free with no sign-up to start. Some will add optional paid plans for heavy users later; any price is announced on the tool's pricing page before it starts.
Do you see my data?
Mostly not. Our tools do their work in your browser, so the numbers, lists and files you use are not uploaded. Where a tool saves work to an account, its privacy page says exactly what is stored.
Can I suggest a tool?
Please do. Tell us about a small, repetitive job that wastes your time on the contact page. The best ideas come from people who do the job every week.
